Certificates of Sponsorship (CoS) and Work Permits

Dave Kelbie from Lejazzetal is a registered sponsor for CoS (Certificates of Sponsorship)

We supply CoS for ALL non UK citizens working in the creative arts. Since Brexit this includes EU nationals.
EU citizens will be treated as third country nationals and that for visits for up to 90 days a CoS (Certificate of Sponsorship) is enough for entry to the UK!

More info here www.gov.uk/temporary-worker-creative-and-sporting-visa/creative-and-sporting-concession

If you are an EU creative arts worker, (or non visa national from another country USA/Japan etc.) we issue Certificates of Sponsorship allowing legal access to the UK for performances/creative work. These can be single or multiple entry. Rules of multiple entry CoS available on demand.

Fees for this service are available on request, contact Dave at dave.kelbie@gmail.com or call +447967728259

FACTS

Upon entry to the UK the artist(s) MUST present themselves to an immigration official, NOT through the E gates, and present a CoS, plus evidence of being able to support yourself (if your sponsor has not confirmed they will support you) whilst in the country. They must also get their passport stamped to activate the CoS. Failure to have the passport stamped, may result in being considered to be working illegally in the UK and will risk deportation.

Temporary Worker – Creative and Sporting visa (T5) concession.
You can enter the UK without applying for a visa in advance if you:
• have a valid Temporary Worker – Creative and Sporting visa (T5) Certificate of Sponsorship
• are coming to work in the UK for 3 months or less
• do not normally need a visa to enter the UK as a visitor

You must meet the Temporary Worker – Creative and Sporting visa (T5) eligibility criteria.
Money to support yourself.
You must have at least £1,270 in your bank account to show you can support yourself in the UK.
These funds have to have been available for at least 28 days in a row. Day 28 must be within 31 days of applying for this visa.

You’ll usually need to show proof of this when you apply, unless either:
• you’ve been in the UK with a valid visa for at least 12 months
• your employer can cover your costs during your first month in the UK, up to £1,270. The CoS issuer can confirm this at the time of issuing your CoS.
NOTE a CoS can be single entry OR multiple entry – ask us for rules on multiple entry.

PLEASE NOTE
• Coming to the UK for work for a longer time than 90 days as a third country national is via the Tier 5 creative and Sporting visa route which requires both a CoS and an additional payment. Information on this can be supplied on demand and we can supply your Certificate of Sponsorship and advice on applying for this Visa type.
More info at the following www.gov.uk/temporary-worker-creative-and-sporting-visa/creative-and-sporting-concession

PLEASE NOTE
• You can also enter the UK through the Permitted Paid Engagement route – also known as PPE. A CoS is not required for this but you need to be recognised as an expert in your field and have been invited in the role of your MAIN overseas job. You can only work for one month. A number of UK Festivals and Prime Venues operate this option but it carries risk.
This route can result in denial of entry at the point of entry and with no right of appeal so we always recommend you obtain a CoS as this shows you have a UK-based sponsor willing to vouch for you and your stay and will be available if you have problems on arrival at the UK border.
